How does each tool work, step by step?

In Careerfornia, you save a profile and click one button for each job. In Rezi, you build a resume and improve it with AI tools.

Careerfornia

  1. Save your profile. Add your work, projects, and education one time.
  2. Paste the job description. On a LinkedIn job, the Chrome extension reads the job description for you.
  3. Click Generate. Careerfornia writes the summary, the skills, and each bullet point again for that job.
  4. Read, correct, and download. Change each line that is not correct. Then download a PDF or DOCX file.

Rezi

Rezi's builder page lists four steps:

  1. Create or import your resume. You start from zero, upload a resume, or import your LinkedIn profile.
  2. Add the job description. The AI keyword targeting tool finds the most relevant keywords for that job.
  3. Improve the Rezi Score. Rezi recommends a score of 90 or more before you apply.
  4. Download. You download the resume as a PDF or DOCX file.

Rezi also has an AI Resume Agent. Its page says that you paste a job description and the Agent rewrites your resume to match. You work with the Agent in a conversation.

So Rezi can also rewrite a resume for a job. The difference is the method. In Careerfornia, the rewrite starts with one click. In Rezi, the rewrite is one tool of many, and it works through a chat.

How do the prices and the free access compare?

Rezi costs less, and only Rezi has a free plan. Careerfornia has a free trial of 3 days, and then you pay.

Careerfornia:

  • There is one plan. It is $30 each month for unlimited resumes.
  • The plan starts with a 3-day free trial. If you cancel in the 3 days, you pay nothing.
  • You can cancel at any time in your account.

Rezi:

Which file formats and Chrome extension does each tool have?

Both tools make PDF and DOCX files, and each one has a Chrome extension. The two extensions do different work.

File formats:

Chrome extensions:

How much control do you have over each change?

Rezi gives you more control over each line. Careerfornia gives you a complete resume first, and you correct it after.

What is the risk of wrong content?

Each AI tool can write a line that is not true for you. A full rewrite changes more lines, so you must check more lines.

When is Rezi the better choice?

Rezi is the better choice when you want a free start, control over each line, or more than a resume.

When is Careerfornia the better choice?

Careerfornia is the better choice when you apply to many jobs each week. The reasons are these:

  • You apply to many jobs. For each job, you paste the job description and click one button. You do not pick keywords one by one.
  • You want new text, not only new keywords. Careerfornia writes the summary, the skills, and each bullet point again for each job description.
  • You find jobs on LinkedIn. The Chrome extension makes the resume from the LinkedIn job page. Rezi's extension page does not list this function.
  • You want to try the tool on many jobs before you pay. The 3-day trial gives unlimited resumes. Rezi's Free plan lists 1 resume.

These reasons do not apply if you apply to a few jobs. For a few jobs, Rezi's Free plan or Lifetime plan costs less. If you are not sure, use one job description in both tools and compare the two resumes.

What are the limits of Careerfornia?

Careerfornia has four limits that you must know before you start the trial.

  1. It has no free plan. After the 3-day trial, the price is $30 each month.
  2. It can add skills or results that are not in your profile. You must read and correct each resume.
  3. It has no job tracker. You must record your applications in a different tool.
  4. It has no cover letters. It writes resumes only.

Its keyword match score is a guide. Each ATS gives a different result.

What are the best Rezi alternatives?

The best Rezi alternative depends on the work that you want the tool to do. The alternatives are of four kinds.

How did we make this comparison?

We read Rezi's public pages on October 12, 2026. For Careerfornia, we used the facts on our own site.

  • We did not test Rezi, and we did not compare the output of the two tools. This guide has no test results.
  • Rezi's pricing page gives two answers about cover letters on the Free plan. Its plan FAQ says that the Free plan includes them. Its compare table marks them as not included.
  • If you work for Rezi and you find an error, write to [email protected]. We will correct it.
