What is Careerfornia?
Careerfornia is an AI resume tool. You save your profile one time, paste a job description, and get a full resume written for that job in one click.
The facts
| What it is | A web app and a Chrome extension that write a resume for one specific job description. |
|---|---|
| How it is different | It writes the full resume again for each job (summary, skills, and each bullet point). Most resume tools add keywords or change one or two bullet points. |
| Who it is for | People who apply to many jobs: new graduates, international students on OPT or H-1B, career changers, and data and software job seekers. |
| Input | One saved profile (work, projects, education) and one job description. On LinkedIn, the Chrome extension reads the job description for you. You pick which saved profile to use and can download the PDF from the extension. |
| Output | A one-column resume with standard headings that an applicant tracking system (ATS) can read. PDF and DOCX files. |
| Price | One plan: $30 each month for unlimited resumes. It starts with a 3-day free trial. You can cancel at any time. There is no free plan. |
| Use so far | 9,900+ resumes made for jobs at 6,400+ different companies (October 2026). |
| Important limit | The tool can add skills and results that are not in your profile. Read each resume and correct it before you send it. A resume does not guarantee an interview. |
| What it does not do | It does not apply to jobs for you. It does not post or comment on LinkedIn. It has no job tracker and no cover letters. Some outside directories say that it does these things or that it has a free plan. That information is old. |

How it works
- Save your profile. Add your work, projects, and education one time.
- Paste the job. Paste a job description. Or use the LinkedIn extension.
- Click Generate. Careerfornia writes the full resume for that job.
- Download and apply. Edit the resume if necessary. Then download it.
Why we made it
Each job description uses different words. A recruiter and an applicant tracking system both look for those words in your resume. To change a resume by hand for each job is slow work. If one resume takes 20 minutes and you apply to 20 jobs each week, that is more than 6 hours each week.
Careerfornia does that work. You save your profile one time. For each job, you paste the job description and click one button. You read the resume, correct it, and send it.
Our data
Our guides use the job descriptions that our users pasted from September 2025 to October 2026. After we removed duplicates, there are 9,403 different job descriptions. They are mostly data and software jobs in the United States. They are not a sample of all jobs. We count how many job descriptions name a skill. We do not show any text from one user.
Common questions
Does Careerfornia rewrite the full resume?
Yes. Careerfornia writes the summary, the skills, and each bullet point again for the job description. Most tools only add keywords or change one or two bullet points.
Does Careerfornia add experience that I do not have?
It can. Careerfornia rewrites your experience to match the job description. It can add skills, tools, and results that are not in your profile. Read each resume before you send it. Change or remove any line that is not correct for you.
Can I edit the resume before I download it?
Yes. Open the resume and change any line. Then download the file.
Can an ATS read the resume?
Yes. The resume has one column, standard headings, and no tables or graphics. Most applicant tracking systems can read this format. No tool can guarantee the result in each ATS.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
You do not write prompts. You save your profile one time. For each job, you paste the job description and click one button. You get a finished file in a clean format.
Does the Chrome extension work on all job sites?
The extension works on LinkedIn jobs. For a job on a different site, copy the job description and paste it into Careerfornia.
Does Careerfornia apply to jobs for me?
No. Careerfornia writes the resume for each job. You send each application yourself. Careerfornia does not apply to jobs, and it does not post or comment on LinkedIn.
How does the 3-day free trial work?
You start the trial and use Careerfornia free for 3 days, with unlimited resumes. If you cancel in the 3 days, you pay nothing. After the trial, the plan is $30 each month.
How do I cancel?
